Day 1: Maun – Nxai pan national park
You will be picked at the airport terminal depart for Nxai skillet. Lunch can be organized before going to Nxai pan. Nxai pan covers a region of 2100km2 and includes a few bigger pans which once old salt lakes were. These larger pans are currently grassed and are scattered with islands of acacia trees and littler pans that load with water amid the blustery season – accordingly giving rich assets to untamed life. You will spend through 2 nights in a selective BOGA (Botswana Guide Association) site. Sunsets at the waterhole can be spectacular with animals silhouetted against the setting sun. You will come back to your camp after sundown and appreciate extraordinary nourishment and beverages around the fire.
Day 2: Nxai pan
Explore the Nxai pan morning and evening game drives and search the mopane forest for lions, giraffes, kudus, impalas, springboks, jackals, bat-eared foxes, and an abundance of birdlife, for example, ostriches, korhaans, goshawks, and astonishing honey bee eaters. Visit Baines Baobabs, a remain of tremendous, hundreds of years old trees and appreciate the chance to go on a nature stroll with Bushman trackers. Appreciate the delectable supper and bush TV.
Day 3: Nxai pan – Kubu Island campsite
Early wake up reminder, have scrumptious breakfast from that point leave for short game drive before departing for Kubu island. As you advance through the Kubu island you stop for a cookout lunch. Your second campground is situated in the Kubu Island serving as your base to the following 2 nights. The entire island is a national monument and is considered a sacred site by the indigenous people of the area. Arrive at the camp at evening, have shower and supper will be served.
Day 4: Kubu island
On arousing at Kubu, you have the chance of seeing a fantastic dawn over the skillet and the stunning bright impact the light has on the otherworldly baobabs.
You traverse the kubu island where in transit you will pass recently deceased historic Chapman's Baobab which after around 4000 extended periods of life simply fell over. Indeed, even while lying level on the ground, the tree is yet magnificent in its size. Have stopover for lunch and relaxation. Continue with the journey throughout the pans. Later evening return back to camp and dinner will be served. The isolation of kubu renders a night sky that is something to behold.
Day 5/6: Kubu island – Makgadikgadi pan
After breakfast you will pack up and leave the untainted wild. We drive to Kumaga in Makgadikgadi pans national park an area of 3900squre km, where you will spend 2 nights in the public campsite, across the river from the village of Kumaga but separated by the Boteti River. Hundreds of Zebra congregate here to drink and provide great photographic opportunities. There are numerous birds of prey in this area, vultures, owls and eagles galore. We will concentrate on game drives along the river which should be flowing still although it has a history of drying up. Hippos and crocodiles occur here and survived 17 years when the river was dry until early 2009. White rhino was released here several years ago but seldom seen.
Day 7: Makgadikgadi pan – Maun
After breakfast this morning you will have short game drive around Makgadikgadi pan area then later drive back to Maun. Drop off at the airport.
