Makgadikgadi Salt Pans and Nxai Pan
The Makgadikgadi Pans, remnants of an ancient super lake, are among the largest salt pans in the world. In the wet season, the pans transform into a shimmering oasis, attracting thousands of flamingos and other migratory birds. By contrast, Nxai Pan offers grassy plains teeming with zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, and predators that follow the migration.
The combination of vast landscapes and abundant wildlife makes this area one of Botswana’s most unique safari destinations.
Our camping safaris here allow guests to witness the dramatic seasonal changes, enjoy guided game drives, and soak in the extraordinary beauty of these ancient salt flats and wildlife-rich pans.
